Delete your account

In the app

1. 1Open Ruckus and go to the Settings tab.
2. 2Tap Manage Account.
3. 3Tap Delete Account and confirm.

Deletion runs immediately. There is no waiting period and no confirmation email to click.

If you can’t open the app

Email support@ruckusapp.fit from the address on your account, or tell us the phone number you signed up with. We verify that the request came from you, delete the account, and reply to confirm. We aim to do this within 7 days and always inside 30.

What gets deleted

• •Your profile: name, phone number, email address, height and body weight.
• •Every ruck you have recorded, including routes, GPS points, pace, heart rate and calories.
• •Your photos, both your profile picture and any you attached to a ruck.
• •Your friends, and the kudos and comments you left on the feed.
• •Your badges, challenge results and event RSVPs.
• •Your settings, your Strava connection and your push notification tokens.

All of it goes from our servers right away. Encrypted backups still hold a copy for up to 30 days, then it is gone for good. Deleting the app on its own does not delete your account, and deleting your account does not undo anything Ruckus wrote to Apple Health or Health Connect. Remove that in the Health app or Health Connect.

What we keep

Two things, and neither names you. Purchase and refund records stay with Apple or Google for their own tax and accounting rules. Usage counts that were already stripped of anything identifying stay in our analytics, because there is no longer a way to tie them back to a person.

Cancel your subscription first

Your subscription lives with the app store, not with us, so deleting your account does not cancel it. Cancel it in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on iPhone, or in the Play Store → Payments and subscriptions on Android. Do that before you delete, or you will keep being charged.
